PURPOSE: An apparatus for guiding transportation by using a mobile phone, and a method therefor are provided to store transportation and/or sightseeing guide information downloaded through a communication network in a pack. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone includes a CPU(110), a program memory(120), a keypad(130), a display part(140), an interface connector(150), and a transmitting and receiving unit(160). The CPU(110) processes data according to a series of programs. The program memory(120) stores the series of programs. The keypad(130) inputs all commands for guiding transportation and sightseeing. The display part(140) displays transportation or sightseeing information. The interface connector(150) takes charge of interface from a transportation guide information pack. The transmitting and receiving unit(160) downloads the transportation or sightseeing information through a communication network. The transportation guide information pack includes a CPU(210), transportation guide information storing part(220), a GPS(Global Positioning System) part(230), and an interface connector(240). The CPU(210) processes and executes various control command applied from the mobile phone. The transportation guide information storing part(220) stores the transportation and/or sightseeing information. The GPS part(230) confirms a position of a user. The interface connector(240) takes charge of interface with the mobile phone.
