PURPOSE: A side supporting member of a vehicle is provided to reduce the number of parts, assembling hours and cost by integrally forming the side supporting member with an HVAC(heating, ventilating, air-conditioning) system and supplying air from the HVAC system to the vehicle room through an air duct. CONSTITUTION: A side supporting member of a vehicle is composed of an assembling unit(13) integrally formed to surround the front of an HVAC system and made of plastic; a supporting rod(15) protruded at both sides of the assembling unit and integrally formed; and a connecting part(17) formed in the outer end of the supporting rod to connect the side supporting member to the supporting rod. The hollow side supporting member is connected to the air outlet of the HVAC system and the vehicle room to supply air from the HVAC to the vehicle room. The supporting rod is made of steel or plastic to resist lateral impact, and the flange type connecting part is connected to the side frame of the vehicle. Deformation of the frame of the vehicle is prevented by supporting the side frame of the vehicle with the side supporting member at a collision.
