The device in combination with a tool permits tightening and loosening of a nut (3) and involves the nut having a cylindrical cover surface (5) and several projecting height formations (7-7n). The tool is formed by a hand grip and at its opposite end is a ring-shaped nut grip part. The nut grip part has radial recesses congruent to the radial projection recesses of the nut.
