METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING IRIS IMITATION ON IRIS RECOGNITION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating an iris imitation on an iris recognition system is provided to discriminate the iris imitation in real-time based on a geometric characteristic of a real human iris not largely representing a brightness difference of a pupil part even if the brightness of an eye image inputted from a camera is adjusted. CONSTITUTION: The eye image having the brightness difference is obtained. A pupil and an iris image having the brightness difference are obtained. A signal of the obtained iris image is processed. An image difference pattern of the pupil part depending on the brightness difference is obtained. The iris imitation is discriminated based on the brightness difference of the pupil part and the recognition/registration/judgment of the iris is performed.
