PURPOSE: A method for outputting voice of a digital TV using a split window method is provided to effectively set a voice input and output path on split windows, thereby maximizing the convenience of a user. CONSTITUTION: In the case of a split window mode, the sizes of right and left windows are set, and right and left input sources are set as main and sub sources respectively. The current voice output mode is judged. In the case of an automatic mode, the right and left input sources are reset as main and sub sources according to the changed sizes of the right and left windows, and a voice of the main input source is output as a final voice. In the case of a manual mode, a voice of an input source selected by a user is output as a final voice.
