PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a seat frame assembly and a side frame is provided to improve productivity by lightening the weight and reducing the number of operation processes. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a side frame(21) of a seat frame assembly having a cushion frame, a backrest frame forming a backrest, and the side frame connecting the cushion and backrest frames is composed of steps for cutting a pair of steel sheets(23a,23b) in a long band shape; forming recessed units(25a,25b) in the central regions of each sheet and engaging units(27a,27b) at edges of both sides of the sheets; forming a predetermined space by each recessed unit by confronting a pair of sheets formed with the recessed units and the engaging units and temporally assembling the sheets by closely contacting each engaging units; and joining the temporally assembled sheets by curling the engaging units.
