A watertight door or window fitting A1 comprising a seal 5 with a tubular chamber, a feed line, a valve 6 and a compressed air supply 7. The seal is positioned around the perimeter of an outer frame next to a rim 11 which opposes a mobile frame 2. The rear part of the seal may be inserted into a channel to the side of the rim, whilst the front part of the seal may include an inflatable chamber having a lip type form and sitting against the rim. Alternatively the seal may have grooves in its base such that it fits a longitudinal seat in the rim. The valve may be a two way type valve and may work in conjunction with a water sensor 8. |
