METHOD FOR OPERATING COOLING AND HEATING SWITCH TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A method for operating a cooling and heating switch type air conditioner is provided to automatically decide cooling or heating without operating a remote control, thereby optimizing cooling or heating. CONSTITUTION: A cooling and heating switch type air conditioner has a set temperature input unit and an indoor temperature sensing unit. The cooling and heating switch type air conditioner includes a cooling and heating deciding pattern. If a set temperature is higher than an indoor temperature, the cooling and heating switch type air conditioner automatically executes a heating operation. If the set temperature is lower than the indoor temperature, the cooling and heating switch type air conditioner automatically executes a cooling operation. The cooling and heating switch type air conditioner includes a set temperature complement pattern to reduce frequencies of turning on and off the cooling and heating switch type air conditioner due to a change in indoor temperature.
