Composition for treating textile articles during washing, tumble drying or ironing comprises a water-soluble or -dispersible dendritic polymer produced by polycondensation of an at least trifunctional monomer (I) and optionally functionalizing the product with hydrophilic groups. Composition for treating textile articles during washing, tumble drying or ironing comprises a water-soluble or -dispersible dendritic polymer produced by polycondensation of an at least trifunctional monomer of formula (I) and optionally functionalizing the product with hydrophilic groups: A-R-(B)f (I) f = 2 or more; A = A' or an A'-containing group; B = B' or a B'-containing group; A', B' = mutually reactive groups selected from amino, COOH, OH, oxiranyl, halo, isocyanato or their precursors; R = a 1-50C aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic group optionally containing O, N, S or P heteroatoms and optionally substituted with functional groups not capable of reacting with A and B. An Independent claim is also included for improving the properties of a composition for washing, tumble drying or ironing of wet textile articles by adding a polymer as above in an amount sufficient to impart anti-wrinkling or ease-of-ironing properties to the articles. |
