PURPOSE: A storage device for backing up a user's telephone number stored in a portable mobile communication terminal, a method thereof and a recording medium where a program for excuting the storage method is recorded are provided to use a mail server of a portable terminal when backing up a telephone number data file stored in the portable terminal while connecting with the mail server, thereby very simply backing up a user's telephone number without an additional device or a procedure. CONSTITUTION: A storage(12) includes a telephone number data file(121) and a telephone number backup control program(122). A controller(13) transmits the telephone number data file(121) to a portable terminal mail server(3) by a command of the telephone number backup control program(122). A wireless transceiving interface(15) connects a portable terminal(1) with the mail server(3) in order to transceive various data with the mail server(3). The mail server(3) sets an E-mail account within the portable terminal(1). The mail server(3) stores the telephone number data file(121) on the E-mail account as a backup.
