The method involves composing a message (5) by a transmitting user (3), and transmitting the message to a distant server (7) by the transmitting user. The message is stored in a data base (8) of the distant server. The anonymous origin of the message is rendered by the distant server. The message is transmitted by the distant server to a receiving user (9), according to information for final destination (6). An Independent claim is also included for a system for allowing mobile telephone users to exchange multi-media message e.g. sound, via a communication network.
