PURPOSE: A device for automatically detecting an audio frequency is provided to read an inner timer value of a processor whenever an input sample requests an interrupt in an audio sampling device, and to confirm an approximate sampling value of inputted audio data, thereby effectively detecting a frequency of the audio data. CONSTITUTION: A serial/parallel conversion input portion(11) receives inputted audio data, and outputs an interrupt request signal when an audio data input buffer is in a full state. A program portion(13) switches into an interrupt service routine by an interrupt request signal. A program and data address unit(18) sets a register by a program from the service routine. A timer(17) receives an execution control by a command, and operates with N times of frequency than the audio data. A multiplication/accumulation portion(16) multiplies or divides result values calculated by the timer(17). A data storage(19) stores data while detecting a frequency of the audio data. A decoder(14) decodes the program. An ALU(Arithmetic and Logic Unit)(15) controls a series of calculations and operational flows.
