METHOD FOR DETECTING PHYTOESTROGEN FROM CHINESE MEDICINE BY USING GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETER

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for detecting phytoestrogen from chinese medicine by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, which can eliminate a pretreatment step of ion exchange resin used for removing an inhibition material of analysis. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) removing impurities from object to be detected by using solid phase extraction, so as to obtain a phytoestrogen, and (ii) deriving the obtained phytoestrogen by using TMS(trimethylsilylation), wherein the derivation step(ii) comprises converting ketone group into hydroxyl group in the phytoestrogen. In the step(ii), TMS is performed by using a derivation reagent comprising MSTFA(N-methyl-N-trifluorotrimethylsilyl acetamide), NH4I and dithioerythritol.
