PURPOSE: A gas valve is provided to improve the reliability of a gas burner by preventing the change of gas flow. CONSTITUTION: A gas valve is composed of a coil(20) for generating electromagnetic force, a gas flow control unit(10) for controlling the flow of gas by the electromagnetic force, a basic resistor(30) connected to the coil in a series, and a valve control unit(40) connected to the coil and the basic resistor. The valve control unit measures the voltage of the basic resistor. The valve control unit increases the voltage supplied to the coil if the voltage of the basic resistor is increased, and decreases the voltage supplied to the coil if the voltage of the basic resistor is decreased.
