PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing illegal duplication of software by monitoring a software ID in real-time on the online are provided to prevent the illegal duplication by stopping usage of a product if a number of customer terminals using the same ID is over a duplication frequency allowed to the ID. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a monitoring server(30), the customer terminals(10a-10n) connected to the monitoring server through wired/wireless network(20), and a software maker(40) managing the monitoring server. The customer terminals are equipped with the software product developed by the software maker and the software product includes a control module. The control module communicates with the monitoring server and performs a control function depending on a signal of the monitoring server. The monitoring server comprises a monitoring tool(32) monitoring the software product in real-time on the online, an analyzing tool(34) judging the illegally duplicated software product, and a managing tool(36) transmitting a usage stopping signal to the control module in the customer terminal depending on an analysis result.
