PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the holding tool to fit a degaussing coil around a cathode ray tube (CRT) with a simple shape at a low manufacturing cost for making a cost of forming metallic dies inexpensive and capable of fitting the supported degaussing coil at a constant position without causing a slack to the supported degaussing coil. SOLUTION: The holding tool for the degaussing coil is made of a resin and comprises: a hook part 1 to which the degaussing coil 7 is locked; an engagement section 2 to be fitted to a hole 10 provided on a fixing metallic fixture 9 fitting the CRT 8 to a cabinet to be engaged, and an extended / contracted elastic section 3. Then the support tool is provided with an elastic part so as to be extended / contracted, and a support tool of the degaussing coil 7 can support the degaussing coil fitted around the CRT to a constant position. That is, a fixing metallic fixture is fitted to a corner of the CRT, the engagement section is inserted to a small hole provided to the fixing metallic fixture and fastened thereat, and the degaussing coil 7 is fitted and supported to a hook 1 at the tip. Further, since the elastic part 3 is provided on the support tool so as to be contracted, the degaussing coil 7 is tensed and no slack is caused. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
