PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifocal ocular which can advantageously secure visual definition of a far point and a short point and deter an image jump, a ghost, etc., from being generated and gives a superior feeling of use. SOLUTION: An eyesight correction area 12 consists of a center eyesight correction area 14, an outer peripheral eyesight correction area 16, and an intermediate area 18 which are positioned concentrically with an optical center axis P and while radial degree distributions of the center eyesight correction area 14 and outer peripheral eyesight correction area 16 are set with an expression of 0th order concerned with the distance from the optical center axis P, a radial degree distribution of the intermediate area 18 is set with a quadratic expression, concerned with the distance from the optical center axis, such that a quadratic term is made different in sign between an internal shift area 20 successively connected to the center eyesight correction area 14 and an external shift area 22 successively connected to the outer peripheral eyesight correction area 16 to set the unevenness reverse.
