PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission material which realizes an LED printer free from blur of transmitted images due to crosstalk between lens elements when constituting the LED printer by combining a graded-index optical transmission material array and a CCD array and by using an LED array as a light source. SOLUTION: A graded-index optical transmission material has a radius r and has a refractive index profile approximating to an ideal quadratic curve, in the range of 0.3r to 0.7r and is provided, in the outer periphery, with a dyed layer which is dyed by a light absorbing dye efficiently shutting off light of 630 to 850nm.
