PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward/backward moving apparatus which is miniaturized, securely be operated and does not generate mechanism noises. SOLUTION: The forward/backward moving apparatus is composed of: a rotational driving source; a shaft which is rotated forwards by the rotational driving source and in which a plurality of ratchets are disposed to be freely rotated; and a shaft which is rotated backwards all the time by the rotational driving source and on which a spline gear is fixed. The teeth of the spline gear are detected by a photo-sensor, and the stopper of the forward/backward moving apparatus engaged with a tip of a ratchet wheel is released according to a detection signal to control the rotation of the ratchet wheel. Thus, there is no sounding delayed for one pitch of the number of teeth, and the gears can be also prevented from biting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
