<p>A diesel engine exhaust gas particle filter has a modular array of sintered metal panels (2, 3) forming a filter structure (1). The filter channels (Fan, Fab) are defined by a corrugated array of sidewalls (Wan) forming a converging passage for incoming gas and a diverging outlet passage for filtered gases. A series of filter units forms a stack, all units facing in the same direction. Filter channels are straight, and the filter channel cross sectional area is greater at the inlet than at the outlet.</p> |
