<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of avoiding troubles caused by an abnormal setting of a toner bottle, and also, capable of avoiding troubles caused when a correct kind of toner bottle is not set. <P>SOLUTION: A toner bottle equipped with a bottle control IC chip 39K with electronic information stored therein is put in use as a toner bottle 32K, and also, whether or not the toner bottle 32K is correctly set is detected based on the result whether or not it has been made communicable with the bottle control IC chip 39K of the toner bottle 32K set on a bottle mount part 31K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
