<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing an electrode material for a cell capable of efficiently mass-producing electrode materials suitable for a fuel cell or a secondary battery by automatically welding a plurality of components together into one unit, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing an electrode for a cell of this invention comprises a transfer means for transferring components, i.e., a bipolar plate constituting the electrode material and a frame to be attached to the bipolar plate, in a horizontal direction in a state where the bipolar plate and the frame are assembled together. The device further comprises a pressing means for pressing the components by sandwiching them with a pair of rotatable pressing roller while the components are transferred by the transfer means. The device further comprises a heating means for allowing stacked portions of the bipolar plate and the frame to be welded to each other by high-frequency induction heating while they are pressed by the pressing means.
