<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire inserter which facilitates to insert a guidewire having a curving top into a guide needle, a catheter or a sheath. <P>SOLUTION: The guidewire inserter 1 comprises a tubular member 2 having an inside space 22 for allowing a guidewire to pass through; a slit 4 having a V shaped section elongating along the axial direction of the tubular part 2; a holder tube connecting member 6 which can connect with a holder tube toward the base side; and a flat intermediate member 8 for connecting the tubular member 2 with the holder tube connecting member 6.
