<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus, by which an air bag cover can be assembled on a case while securing a sufficient assembling strength, and compactness of the air bag apparatus itself can be achieved. <P>SOLUTION: In this air bag apparatus, a locking bar member 38 for attaching an air bag cover 44 to a case 20 comprises a fixed portion 39 located on the bottom wall portion 23 of the case 20, and a locking bar portion 41 which is arranged on a peripheral wall portion 22 of the case 20 and between a protruding portion 34a of an engagement projection 34 formed on the case 20 side and an assembling piece 48 of the air bag cover 44. The locking bar portion 41 prevents coming-out of the protruding portion 34a. An extension portion 39b is formed on the fixed portion 39 so as to windingly elongate from a bottom wall portion 23 side of the case 20 toward the peripheral wall portion 22. The locking bar portion 41 is arranged so as to be offset from the extension portion 39b via a connecting portion 40 formed so as to cross the extension portion 39b and so as to connect the extension portion 39b with the locking bar portion 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
