PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blinking bulb capable of blinking with an incandescent bulb lit; and to provide an ornamental electric light using it. SOLUTION: A pair of conductive wires 4 and 5 connected through a filament 3 are oppositely installed in a translucent sealed vessel 2; one end of a bimetal 7 is fixed to one of the conductive wires 4 and 5; and the other end thereof is disposed in a form capable of contacting to and separating from the other conductive wire. In this structure, thermal deformation is generated in the bimetal 7 by heat generation of the filament 3 emitting light by carrying a current to shunt a pair of the conductive wires 4 and 5, and this blinking bulb 1 is brought into a non-lit state. When the non-lit state continues, the bimetal 3 is cooled and its deformation is recovered, and the blinking bulb 1 is brought into a lit state again. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
