PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an efficient deferring of a device constituting a network. SOLUTION: A computer-implemented method is provided for filtering, responsive to a a logical specification of a network farm and a communication model of the farm, tree topology network specification to obtain a filtered tree topology network specification. The filtered tree topology network specification has fewer devices therein relative to the tree topology network specification, and devices required for constructing the farm are available in the filtered tree topology network specification.
