PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS register provided with a function capable of easily confirming electronic journal data. SOLUTION: The POS register in a POS system for performing the merchandise registration and adjustment of merchandise purchased by a customer by the execution of various kinds of operations and also storing transaction data in an electronic journal for each transaction is provided with a storage control means 3 for storing an operation kind code indicating the kind of the operation in the electronic journal when various kinds of the operations are executed and a calling means 5 for detecting and displaying the transaction data including the pertinent operation code from the electronic journal when the operation specifying the kind of the operation is executed.
