PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film capacitor having a noise prevention function over a wide range up to a high frequency region. SOLUTION: When using, as a noise prevention element, the film capacitor 1 having such a structure that a film-like dielectric body 1a is put between a pair of sheet-like electrodes 1b and 1c, at least the front-surface-side electrode 1b of the pair of electrodes 1b and 1c has an electrical resistivity of 10<SP>-4</SP>Ωcm or above and has a relatively high resonance frequencyυ<SB>0</SB>and changes its capacity according to the frequencyυ<SB>0</SB>up to the resonance frequency. By providing one such film capacitor 1 as a noise prevention element, for example, in a circuit of a horn H, noise can be prevented over a wide range from a low frequency region to a high frequency region.
