PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly fit a projection nut to the guide pin of a fixed electrode without getting caught. SOLUTION: With a projection nut 1 attractively held at the top end of a feeding rod 6 by a magnetic force, the feeding rod 6 is advanced obliquely downward or roughly horizontally while a relative position is set between the tip end square part 32 of a projecting piece 31 and the nut 1. Then, the feeding rod 6 is stopped immediately before the guide pin 3 of a fixed electrode 30 and, nearly concurrently with the stoppage, the magnetic attraction force to the nut 1 is ceased. As a result, the nut 1 is inverted by gravity around the top end square part 32 of the projection piece 31, so that the nut 1 is fitted to the guide pin 3 of the fixed electrode 30. In this way, the guide pin 3 is made of a nonmagnetic material, thereby enabling the nut 1 to be smoothly supplied without being attracted to the guide pin 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
