PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lure having improved tear strength on a hook and made of a highly biodegradable material. SOLUTION: The gelatinous lure for fishing is composed of a reaction product of (A) an ammonia reaction product of a copolymer of an ethylenic unsaturated compound and maleic anhydride with (B) gelatin and optionally incorporated with a polysaccharide or a univalent and/or polyvalent metal salt.
