Straw pellets can be used in a solid fuel heating system as an environmentally friendly and renewable source of energy. After the combined harvester (1) has finished threshing the straw (2) is guided into the pellet producing unit (3) integrated in the agricultural device (1), chopped and compressed into pellets of a size suitable for being burned in a stove. The pellets are collected in a soft container (4) which is automatically replaced when full by an empty container (4) from a storage compartment (5) while the filled container (4) is left on the field for collection.
