The steplessly lockable adjustment device (1) comprises a piston axially movable in a fluid-filled housing (2) and dividing it into two pressure chambers. The piston is connected to a piston rod passing through one end of the housing, and the piston has a blocking valve (7) with a shut-off component (13), and a manually operated release pin with a transmission disc (16) which is installed axially play free on the shut-off component, and the release pin in this position is axially fixed in relation to the shut-off component. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a blockable adjustment device.
