Hot water boiler has a control unit that controls the operation of the boiler so that a minimum temperature is maintained in a hot water tank. The controller is used in conjunction with a number of temperature sensors and a separate temperature control element (20) for setting minimum temperatures for heating and domestic use water. When an upper set temperature limit is reached, an off signal is sent directly to the burner (3).
