The invention relates to a method for reducing the fuel consumption of internal combustion engines. According to said method, at least one parameter, which acts as a measurement for a quantity of fuel that is currently required by the engine, is determined and a specific quantity of water is fed to a combustion chamber via an air intake, based on the parameter that has been determined. The invention also relates to an appropriate device for reducing the fuel consumption of internal combustion engines, which operates in accordance with said method. |
