摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cross-connector which enables operation of an optical switch to be confirmed at all times and therefore exhibits high stability and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical cross-connector includes: an optical switch circuit 3; input optical level monitoring sections 41 to 4N for monitoring optical levels of optical signals supplied to optical transmission signal input sections 11 to 1N; monitoring signal generating sections 61 to 6N for generating monitoring signals to monitor an optical switch section 3; input optical signal selection sections 71 to 7N for selecting the monitoring signals generated by the monitoring signal generating sections 61 to 6N disposed between the optical transmission signal input sections 11 to 1N and an optical switch section 3 or the optical signals supplied to the optical transmission signal input sections 11 to 1N and supplying the selected optical signal to the optical switch section 3; and input optical signal control sections 51 to 5N for controlling the input optical signal selection sections 71 to 7N on the basis of an output of the input optical level monitoring sections 41 to 4N. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
