<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device for contributing to the prevention of illegal reception and illegal copying of digital contents with a simple device configuration not even through a plurality of decrypting processes but using a plurality of decrypting keys, and to provide a contents receiver. <P>SOLUTION: This contents receiver 3 is provided with a transmitting/receiving part 31, a control part 32, an encrypting/decrypting part 33 and a contents decoding part 34. The encrypting/decrypting part 33 has an encryption code storing part 331, an encryption code preparing part 333, a contents decryption processing part 334, a file storage information storing part 333 and a contents data verifying part 336, actively prepares an encryption code inherent to the contents receiver 3, acquires an encryption code with a higher security level from a contents transmitter 1 by transmitting the inherent encryption code to the contents transmitter 1 and uses the encryption code to perform decryption processing and verification processing of the contents data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
