PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack system for a battery-operated device capable of being simply attached and detached, preventing a contact for an external battery arranged to the battery-operated device from being left in a state of being exposed at demounting, without apprehension of losing parts when mounting. SOLUTION: The battery pack system for a battery-operated device is composed of the battery-operated device having the contact for an external battery at either of outside surfaces; and the battery pack having the battery contact to be electrically connected to the contact for the external battery of the battery-operated device and a battery pack with a protrusion for positioning and attached and detached while being positioned against the battery-operated device by the protrusion. A cover member capable of moving between a closing position covering the contact for the battery and an open position exposing the same, a slide member made to move by being pushed by the protrusion for positioning, and an interlocking mechanism opening and closing the cover member interlocking with the movement of the slide member are held on the battery-operated device.
