PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide map information having high reliability and similar to reality to the utmost. SOLUTION: This map information management device is equipped with an original map information database for storing map information, a transmission means S32 for transmitting the map information in response to a request from a navigation device loaded on a vehicle, a provided information receiving means S33 for receiving provided information including an image photographed on the position specified by the map information from the navigation device, determination means S36, S48 for determining genuineness of the provided information by analyzing the received image, and an updating means S39 for updating the map information in response to the determination result by the determination means. Since the genuineness of the provided information is determined by analyzing the image photographed on the position specified by the map information, the reliability of the provided information can be determined, and the map information can be updated based on the information having high reliability.
