METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING N4-ACYLCYTIDINE DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially manufacturing an N4-acylcytidine derivative in a high yield by a simple operation.

SOLUTION: A cytidine derivative as a starting raw material having hydroxy groups coupled with a protecting group at 3'- and 5'-positions so as to enhance crystallinity is benzoylated and subsequently hydrolyzed to give the N4-acylcytidine derivative in a high yield by a simple separating operation such as filtration. Thus, the N4-acylcytidine derivative can be synthesized in a high yield in few steps by the filtration operation without necessitating troublesome operations. The manufacturing method is suitable as an industrial manufacturing method.
