<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation controller for a vehicle which can accurately detect an exciting current. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation controller 1 for a vehicle is equipped with a power source circuit 100, an exciting current detecting circuit 120, an exciting current control circuit 130, a communication control circuit 140, an exciting current drive transistor 160, and the like. The exciting current detecting circuit 120 detects the exciting current flowing to an exciting winding 204 when the exciting current drive transistor 160 is turned on. The exciting current control circuit 130 estimates the average value of a newest exciting current based on the detected exciting current, and controls the drive duty of an exciting current drive transistor 160 so that the estimated exciting current may be not higher than an exciting current limiting value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
