PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display whose pixel can be easily and reliably corrected. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is provided with an active matrix substrate having a plurality of scanning lines 1 provided so as to extend to be parallel to each other and a plurality of switching elements wherein gate electrodes 6 are constituted by protrusion parts formed so as to protrude in the side direction of the scanning lines 1.
