PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decompression chamber for creating a highland pressure environment that is easily available, safe, comfortable, convenient, and very low in cost, everywhere at any time and for everybody, without requiring highland training and stay in a highland. SOLUTION: The decompression chamber has a capacity of 20 m<SP>3</SP>or less, and is formed of a small portable casing, auxiliary equipment including a decompression pump, an exhaust port connected to the decompression pump, and a natural intake port arranged at a location opposed to the exhaust port. The decompression chamber functions to continuously take in ordinary air or air in which oxygen density is regulated to a predetermined value, and at the same time controls pressure loss generated when air passes through a pipe connected to the natural intake port and a manually operated pressure regulating valve, to thereby control the pressure in the chamber to the range between 500hpa (hectopascal) and a normal pressure.
