PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily and stably mountable a buffering rubber member to be mounted on the contact part of a stopper metal in a state of free from slipping-off without using an adhering means and a vulcanization adhesion. SOLUTION: In this vibration isolator wherein a main body metal 1 and an upper mounting metal 2 are connected through a vibration isolation base 3, an upper edge part of the stopper metal 8 connected to the main body metal 1 is bent inward to be used as a contact part 81 for the stopper, and positioned between a stopper flange 22 of the upper mounting metal 2 and a bracket B at a vibration generating body side, and the buffering rubber member 9 is mounted between the contact part 81 and the bracket B, and the contact part 81 is provided with a function of the stopper with respect to the vertical large displacement, the rubber member 9 is fitted to the outer periphery of a boss part 21 of the upper mounting clamp 2 to be mounted, and a projection 10 for stopping the rubber member 9 is formed on a part of the outer periphery at an upper edge side with respect to a fitting part of the rubber member 9, of the boss part 21.
