PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, capable of controlling display of an image photographed by a communication apparatus for visitors, based on the status of the communication device and the intent of a user. SOLUTION: As for displaying an image of a visitor photographed by an imaging unit attached with an intercom 15 with a camera using a display means 8, the visitor's image is not displayed unconditionally but it is displayed, based on the status of a communication device 1, when the intercom 15 with the camera operated by the visitor. To be more specifying, a CPU 2 determines whether the communication device 1 is in a stand-by status, in which the device stands by for transmission with other communication systems or operation by a user. When it is determined that the device is not in the stand-by status at least, it is controlled whether the visitor's image is displayed, based on the information commanded by the user about, whether the visitor's image is displayed.
