PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which the screen of a liquid monitor as well as a camera lens can be protected when the imaging apparatus is contained. SOLUTION: Since an imaging section 14b provided with an imaging unit 15 and a display section 14a provided with a display screen 18 are integrated as an imaging/displaying section 14 turnably with respect to a body section 16, the forward end 15a and the display screen 18 can be prevented from being exposed to the outside when the imaging/displaying section 14 is contained.
