PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system capable of attaining reception even in absence just like attended by means of an interphone to thereby enhance the safety from the view of crime prevention. SOLUTION: The interphone system is provided with: an interphone 11 for calling a portable telephone 12 by a ringer bell to make a speech with the portable telephone, starting a key opening / closing control system on the basis of the reception of a key opening / closing operation instruction to open / close a door, monitoring the opening / closing state of the door, transmitting door opening / closing operation information, and locking the key opening / closing control system to interrupt a line on the basis of control end instruction; and the portable telephone 12 for connecting the line, making a speech available (S61, S62) in response to a call from the interphone 11, starting a key opening / closing operation function when a result of collating a password indicates coincidence, transmitting the key opening / closing operation instruction to the interphone (S64 to S67), terminating the key opening / closing operation on the basis of the control end instruction, locking the key opening / closing control system of the interphone and interrupting the line (S69, S6a, S6b).
