PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transparent electroconductive film-forming coating material which has both high transparency and electroconductivity, and furthermore can simply form a transparent electrodconductive film even on a transparent base material having low heat resistance such as a plastic film and a plastic base material, to prepare a transparent electroconductive film which has both high transparency and electroconductivity, and furthermore can be simply formed on a transparent base material having low heat resistance such as a plastic base material, to provide a manufacturing method therefor, and a display having this transparent electroconductive film. SOLUTION: The transparent electroconductive film-forming coating material contains electroconductive oxide fine particles having at least one kind selected from the group consisting of In, Sn, and Zn as the major component and metal sulfide fine particles in a solvent at a ratio of these metal sulfide fine particles to the electroconductive oxide fine particles of 1 to 25 wt.%.
