PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a perfume composition for suppressing iron rust smell having excellent masking effect on iron rust smell and durability of the masking effect, and provide a deodorizing or an external preparation composition such as an anhidrotic agent containing the perfume composition. SOLUTION: This perfume composition for suppressing iron rust smell contains one or more compounds or essential oils selected from geraniol, phenylethyl alcohol, citronellol, lilial, benzyl salicylate, tonalid, heliotropin, coumarin, ethylvanilline, verdox,γ-undecalactone, eugenol, bacdanol, dihydromyrcenol, terpineol, methylionone, citral, benzyl acetate,α-damascone,β-damascone, eucalyptus oil, geranium oil, rosemary oil, ylang ylang oil, lavender oil and clove oil as a component having excellent masking effect on iron rust smell and durability of the masking effect.
