PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of attaching a cartridge holder for a cartridge type electric injector for dental use, a device which is compact as a whole and is simply attached to and detached from the receiving port member of the cartridge holder. SOLUTION: In the device of attaching a cartridge holder (12) for a cartridge type electric injector (1) for dental use, a cylindrical fixed cam member (3) is entirely housed in the nose part (2) of the electric injector. The fixed cam member is provided with a recess part (8), a receiving port member (9) comprises a plurality of ball holding holes (10) and engaging balls (11) positioned in the ball holding holes, and the cartridge holder (12) is provided with an annular groove (13) designated to accept some of the engaging balls (11). The receiving port member is provided with a coil spring (14) which can move between an advanced position for engaging the engaging balls with the annular groove at the cartridge holder (12) in the receiving port member and a retreated position for releasing the engaging balls from the annular groove so that the cartridge holder can be pulled out from the receiving port member to energize the receiving port member to the advancing position.
