PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for telling a bite, with which a strike of fish is informed at a place separated from a fishing rod without overlooking, a fishing rod having a bite is checked by the eyes even at night and specified among a plurality of fishing rods with terminal tackles when a fish takes the bite, maintenance is simplified, power source parts are minimized and false alarm by wind and waves is eliminated. SOLUTION: The apparatus has constitution that a bite is informed by a chime sound and light even at a remote place and during sleeping in a vehicle with closed windows by combination of a wireless chime and a toggle switch with illumination and the toggle switch with illumination attached to a fishing rod is lighted even at night. Consequently, a fishing rod having a bite is checked by the eyes and specified. Even when a plurality of fishing rods are used, in the case of a wireless chime, a pair of a transmitter and a receiver are sufficient and a bite is specified. The apparatus of a wire annunciator is simple, power source parts are minimized and maintenance is easy.
